"For You, I Remove my Teeth"
"For You, I Remove my Teeth", 2026
Edition of 30 prints. Each labeled, numbered and signed by hand.
What once bit and defended now gives life to vulnerability and flight. The missing teeth are not absence alone, but a space reclaimed by transformation. The cocoon that takes the place of fangs suggests that self-repair need not mimic the world’s aggression and that change can arrive as something fragile and insistently alive.
There is an awareness that the world is populated by sharp things, systems and people whose teeth teach you to guard and harden. Yet, the patient work of unmaking armor can mean exchanging a weapon for a wing. Each butterfly is both tender and brave. The piece honors the friction of trying to improve oneself, the missteps and the acknowledgement of losing one's protective edges.
